There are many cafés in the centre of Dublin; they provide a cheaper alternative to restaurants. Dublin's side streets provide a treasure trove of good cafés.

If it's simply a cup of coffee you want well then head to the main thoroughfare in the city centre where you will find excellent coffee shops selling the real thing; no instant coffee in site!

If you are looking for a healthy snack or a luscious cream cake most coffee shops provide good menus where you can expect to pay around €6 to €10 for an excellent main course.

There are also coffee shops in the shopping centres around the Dublin suburbs however we recommend the city centre cafés as your best bet.
