Depending on reputation and popularity be prepared to spend anything between €15 to €50 per person for a set lunch. As eating out in Dublin at night is very popular prices rise accordingly. Again depending on the restaurant you may pay between €25 to €100 for a three course meal from an à la carte menu. Remember though the restaurant experience in Dublin is about quality service and food and is well worth trying out. An offer that many restaurants have is the 'Early Bird Menu'. There are many cafés in the centre of Dublin; they provide a cheaper alternative to restaurants. Dublin's side streets provide a treasure trove of good cafés.
If it's simply a cup of coffee you want well then head to the main thoroughfare in the city centre where you will find excellent coffee shops selling the real thing; no instant coffee in site!
If you are looking for a healthy snack or a luscious cream cake most coffee shops provide good menus where you can expect to pay around €6 to €10 for an excellent main course.
